This tool compiles and supports command-line debugging of Java. You can also use it to execute Java and Jar applications, and debug and launch applets.
It consists of a directory structure tree, combo box and combo text field, control buttons, and a command-line text field. The directory tree has a pop-up menu with
items for copying, deleting, renaming, cutting, pasting, selecting and creating files or folders. A Java application can be run either on a separate JVM
or together with some other Java applications on a shared JVM, reducing the amount of memory used. All compilation and execution outputs and errors are shown in a separate editable output console. Although JavaAssistant has
no source code editor, it can be combined with an external editor. A selected document can be opened either in the editor set by the user or in the registered Windows editor.
A selected file can be opened or started by Windows according to its content type.
