This program turns an existing PC into a media center PC by letting users access their digital media using a television and remote control. The media library creates a centralized database with which users can categorize and manage the digital assets stored on their PC, home network or the Internet. Meedio Essentials includes integrated media players for listening to music, watching movies, viewing photo slideshows, accessing weather forecasts and managing files. The application can be customized and extended with support from 400 independent software vendors in the Meedio Developers Network and access 180 third-party themes and plugins to provide additional functionality such as movie descriptions, e-mail, caller ID, news feeds, instant messaging, recipes, webcam viewers and Skype Internet phone support.
